Literature Text
From a trance I found myself
Facing a wall,
A curtain of dusk
Before she’s woken.
Cradled in her haze
My world obscure became,
Beautifully unknown.
Fear crept my conscience
Like sight masked within it.
Our gaze met,
Her iris a deep melancholy.
Encased upon myself
I merely waited,
As if expectant
Of some absence of man
Waiting to emerge.
It was hesitant,
Not because of me
But for me.
Facing a wall,
A curtain of dusk
Before she’s woken.
Cradled in her haze
My world obscure became,
Beautifully unknown.
Fear crept my conscience
Like sight masked within it.
Our gaze met,
Her iris a deep melancholy.
Encased upon myself
I merely waited,
As if expectant
Of some absence of man
Waiting to emerge.
It was hesitant,
Not because of me
But for me.
The night reveals that our biggest fear is ourselves
